Kids and Horses

Over the weekend the kids had the opportunity to visit with Preston's Aunt Darlene and her horse. They had a wonderful time at the farm feeding her and caring for some of the other animals. Royce even had the chance to take a short ride on a pony.

Rites of Spring

This past weekend we made our usual pilgrimage to the local Rita's for a post-dinner ice cream treat. Luckily the boys didn't kill each other in the wagon and everyone finished their ice cream without wearing too much of it.

Ah, the joys of Spring!

Easter Weekend

The Hartin's had a busy, yet exciting Easter weekend. We spent an enjoyable Saturday afternoon at our friend's house for an Egg Hunt.

On Sunday we happily filled our home with a total of 17 family and friends for a wonderful holiday meal. Each family contributed a great dish to the table and all the children had a fun afternoon with their friends.

What's Cookin'

Successfully completed homemade ravioli. Took a little too long to complete, although it did taste delicious (cheese and herb filling). As the chef becomes more confident we're sure there will be more to sample from the pasta kitchen.

Playtime at the Hartin House

Friday we had a "small" group of the kids friends at the house. In total, there were 8 kids here for about 2.5 hours. Carrie was able to entertain the group on her own. It certainly helps that our children have such wonderful friends who play so well together.

Hangin' with Friends

Today, the Brooks' came over to play and have a little lunch. After lunchtime, some kids were willing to watch a little "Curious George" while another wanted to help with some necessary cleaning needs.

Preston is no Jack Bennett with a toilet brush, but he sure is willing to lend a hand.

Royce's Reading Rainbow

Today, Royce visited Will's classroom to be a guest reader to his class.

She did an excellent job reading "How do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight" and "Wild Animals" to the kids in the 2's. Will was very excited to have the visit from all of us, but was especially happy to have his sister Royce read to his classmates.

Great job Royce!

We're Huntin' Bunny Rabbit

Will has made some amazing hats in preschool this year. But the bunny takes the prize so far. This time everyone had a chance to model the look.
