Saturday was 'Make Your Own Pizza' night at our house. Royce went for a traditional Hawaiian style pizza and Will was more eclectic - ham, green pepper, a pepperoni, and a few blueberries. Not surprising....he picked everything off of his pizza before trying to eat it.
Royce has decided she would like to earn some money so we decided it was time for her to have some chores and earn a small allowance. Week 1 - Royce needed to brush Carls every day in order to earn $1. Carls loved the attention and Royce did a great job. She earned her first dollar bill.
Last weekend we made a short trip to DC to see our cousins, Aunt Amy, Uncle Dale, Mama and Papa at the National Zoo. It was hot, hot but it was great to see them. The pandas were hanging out inside in the AC. I can't blame them!
Catching up on a few posts! Will went for a haircut the other week. In the 90++ degree heat Will decided he needed to wear his winter coat. We were worried about heat exhaustion and talked him into just wearing his "glub-bies"!!
I was organizing some of our on-line photos and came across these. Royce spent a few days wanting to be a basketball player and Will, we've known for a while now that he has great potential to do something.
Back in the middle of June we had our annual beach vacation in North Carolina. Royce and Will had a great time with all their friends (Julia, Max, James, and Lilly). All of the parents, especially enjoyed the quiet evenings out on the back deck.
Why not put a picture of a very delicious pie made by the Baltimore Hartin chefs as our first blog? As far as our first foray into baking goes, we say it was a resounding success!
